Hi, I’m Matt Temple—a photographer based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and someone who thrives on capturing the spirit and story behind every moment. My journey to photography wasn’t a straight line. Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I spent time driving an ambulance in Ontario, where I learned firsthand the importance of empathy, quick thinking, and staying calm under pressure.

Later, I traded sirens for servers, building a 15-year career in IT support and infrastructure management. It taught me a lot about attention to detail, creative troubleshooting, and how technology shapes the way we connect. But it was the spark I found in making images that finally pulled me in a new direction.

I’ve spent over 10 years devoted to photography, with a passion for creating media that helps people and businesses tell their stories in an authentic way. Whether I’m shooting for a marketing campaign, showcasing a property, or simply chasing great Newfoundland light, my goal is always the same: to turn everyday moments into something memorable.
